Be A Peacemaker

In Matthew 5:9

Jesus says:

Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.

Being a peacemaker can be a big job.  It's easy to say,  "Be peaceful." but that can be such a hard thing to do.  That might mean staying quiet when you feel like yelling.   Or backing down from a fight when you feel like knocking someone down.

Being a peacemaker is an action.  You have to stop yourself from being too upset when you get angry.   It's ok to be angry sometimes, but you should never let that anger make you do a bad thing.  Don't try to hurt people just because they did something to you.   If you're anger try to control yourself and then say a prayer asking God to take the anger away from you.

Try to help others stay peaceful too.  If you can help your friends or your brothers and sisters be peaceful and calm try to help them.

Sometimes it's hard, but you can do it.   God can always help you to stay peaceful.
